Briefly describe the global health issue and its impact on the larger public health care systems (i.e., continents, regions, countries, states, and health departments). One of the global issues affecting the international health community is HIV (Human immunodeficiency virus) epidemic. HIV is contagious and it targets immune system of the patient, making them susceptible to opportunistic infections. When HIV is left untreated, it results to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome(AIDS).
